Theme & presentation
Immortal 5 is Relax Gaming’s superhero mash-up, built with streamer outfit and it wears that origin on its sleeve. You get a caped roster of “Immortal” heroes stood over a comic-panel grid, card-suit low symbols, and a colour palette that leans hard into purple, silver and gold. It’s competent rather than memorable. The character art is crisp, the reels animate with a bit of swagger, and the soundtrack does the obligatory brooding-orchestra thing. But I’ve seen this exact aesthetic a dozen times, and Immortal 5 doesn’t do much to distinguish itself beyond naming its wilds after spandex. Serviceable, a touch generic.
How it plays
Standard fare under the hood: five reels, five rows, 15 fixed paylines, three-of-a-kind left-to-right. Bets run from 0.10 up to 10 (some operators list higher ceilings, up to 100), and there are two wilds doing the heavy lifting. The red wild subs normally; the purple Immortal Wild locks in place and triggers Immortal Respins, which keep spinning for as long as fresh Immortal Wilds keep landing. There’s also a random Immortal 5 Wild feature that fires at the start of a base spin, highlighting between one and five reels and slapping expanding Hero Wilds across them, carrying multipliers of x2 up to x100. It’s busy in the base game, which I appreciate, even if a lot of those little in-spin events amount to modest change.
The feature
The headline events are the two named bonus games. The Immortal Silver Bonus, triggered by three Silver scatters on reels 3-5, hands you six free spins with a progressive multiplier that climbs and applies to every win. The Immortal Gold Bonus, from three Gold scatters on the same reels, also gives six spins but adds mystery Power-Up picks including a Super Power-Up. Both are competent takes on the sticky-multiplier free-spins formula rather than anything genuinely new. If you’d rather not wait, there’s a Feature Buy (roughly 100x for a bonus) and a 500x Hero Spin — a single all-or-nothing shot pitched squarely at the ceiling. I’m no fan of the Hero Spin’s price for what it is, but the mechanic itself is clearly labelled.
The numbers, straight
- Max win: 10,000x (confirmed across multiple reputable sources)
- RTP: 96.10% default (operators may deploy 94% or 86% versions — always check)
- Volatility: High (rated 10/10)
- Reels-ways: 5 reels, 5 rows, 15 fixed paylines
- Hit rhythm: roughly 17-20% hit frequency, so dead spins are common between the bigger swings
Verdict
Immortal 5 is a perfectly playable high-volatility slot that never quite escapes its own template. The base game keeps you engaged with its wild features, the two bonuses are solid if familiar, and 10,000x is a respectable if unspectacular ceiling for a 2024 release. My gripes: the theme is off-the-shelf, the Hero Spin buy feels steep, and that variable RTP means the game you play may be worse than the number on the tin. Fun in short bursts, forgettable over a session.
SlotWhizz rating: 3.4/5. A capable, mid-tier superhero grinder that’s worth a demo spin, but remember the maths always favour the operator — even at the 96.10% build, roughly 3.9% of every wager is the house edge over time.
18+. Demo for fun, not profit. A demo can’t lose your cash, but it can’t win it either; over time the edge is always the casino’s. Play responsibly.
