Casino won't pay you? Here's how to get your money.

A withheld or endlessly-"pending" withdrawal is the single worst thing a casino can do — and you have more power than they'd like you to think. This is our free, no-nonsense escalation guide. We're on your side, not the casino's. 18+.

  1. 1
    Complete verification (KYC) first

Most withheld payouts are stuck on identity checks. Submit ID, proof of address and source-of-funds documents exactly as asked, in clear photos. Do this before you argue — a casino can legally hold funds until KYC passes.

  2. 2
    Keep a paper trail

Screenshot your balance, the withdrawal request, the bonus terms you accepted, and every support chat. Facts win disputes; memory does not. Never delete anything.

  3. 3
File a formal complaint with the casino

Email their complaints/disputes team (not just live chat) with dates, amounts and screenshots. Ask for a written reason and a reference number. Give them a reasonable, dated deadline.

  4. 4
Escalate to the regulator or its ADR

If the casino stalls or refuses, escalate to its licensing authority or the free dispute-resolution (ADR) body it must provide. Which one depends on the licence — see the table below.

  5. 5
    Use a free independent mediator

Public mediation services resolve thousands of cases a year for free — often just the public pressure works. File with AskGamblers and Casino Guru, and leave a factual Trustpilot review.

  6. 6
Report it to SlotWhizz Payout Watch

Tell us. We log it, and verified reports dock the casino’s live Trust Score, add cons to its review, and can land it on our casinos-to-avoid list — so your problem protects the next player.

Where to escalate, by licence

A casino's licence decides your recourse — it's the first thing to check (and a big reason we only feature licensed operators). Find the licence in the casino's footer or our review.

UK Gambling Commission (UKGC)Casino → after 8 weeks, its free UKGC-approved ADR entity · official complaints page →
Malta (MGA)Lodge a complaint directly with the MGA; ADR outcome is binding on the operator · official complaints page →
Curaçao (CGA / new LOK regime)The casino must offer a free independent ADR provider; the CGA does not mediate individual disputes itself · official complaints page →
Anjouan (Comoros)⚠ Not recognised by the Comoros government — expect little to no recourse. Lean on independent mediators instead.
Gibraltar / Isle of Man / AlderneyComplaint to the operator, then the jurisdiction’s gambling regulator (each runs a dispute service)

Free independent mediators

These services pressure casinos into paying — for free. Use more than one.

How SlotWhizz helps

We're not a regulator, but we're not powerless either. When you report a payout problem, a verified report docks that casino's live Trust Score, adds a warning to its review, and can put it on our casinos-to-avoid list. Patterns become public — which is exactly what makes casinos pay. Your report protects the next player.
