Blueprint went with anthropomorphised cats living their best high-roller lives, and I’ll admit the setup made me smirk before it made me yawn. The backdrop is a sun-baked strip of pastel Miami-slash-Monaco: muscle car, a Lambo-shaped thing, palm trees, the works. It’s the visual equivalent of a rapper’s first music video — everything gleams, nothing means much. The cats have personality, the animations are slick, and the whole package is more polished than the “rich feline” premise deserves. After ten minutes the novelty wears thin, but it never gets ugly, and that counts for something.

How it plays

Underneath the bling is a fairly orthodox grid. You get five reels arranged in a semi-diamond 3-4-4-4-3 shape, giving 20 paylines rather than the wider ways-count the shape hints at. Stakes run from a sensible 0.20 up to 10 a spin. The base game leans on Star Wilds that can drop on the middle three reels and substitute for everything bar the scatter, plus wild multipliers worth 2x or 3x that also land in the middle. The Super Star Wild is the flashiest touch — it converts itself and everything stacked above it on the reel into wild multipliers, which is where the base game occasionally stops feeling like a screensaver.

The feature

Two free spins modes do the heavy lifting: Big Balls Free Spins (10 spins) and the Even Bigger Balls / Super Star round (5 spins). You trigger them with bonus symbols on reels 1 and 3 plus the relevant symbol on reel 5. The hook is that any wild multiplier landing during the feature locks in place and stays sticky for the rest of the round — fill a whole reel with wilds and you’re handed extra spins. It’s a clean, legible mechanic, and the sticky multipliers are genuinely where the 10,000x ceiling lives. If chasing the trigger bores you, there’s a Buy Feature at 100x the bet (or 150x to guarantee the Super Star round) — a price that tells you exactly how rarely it lands naturally.

A word on the house edge, because nobody else will say it plainly: at 96.01% RTP the machine keeps roughly 4 of every 100 wagered over the long run, and that’s the good config. On a 94% or 92% build it keeps a lot more. The 10,000x headline is real but astronomically rare; the maths always favours the cats.

Verdict

Ballin’ is a well-made, thoroughly unremarkable slot. The presentation is charming, the sticky-multiplier free spins are a sound mechanic, and the numbers are honest for the genre — but there’s nothing here that Blueprint or its rivals haven’t done cleaner elsewhere. It’s a pleasant twenty-minute detour, not a game I’d come back to. Competent, forgettable, and priced like it knows it.
